Sebesta Enterprises needed to produce an online version of its board game, You Haven't Changed a Bit! , and turned to us to execute it. The result is a social network for school and family reunions, with a fun matching game as its centerpiece.

Positives: Percolait can take an idea from concept through full implementation, with a rare combination of left and right brain skills. Great sense of humor and communicates well. Negatives: Will send you photos of them working on your project from a beautiful beach in the Philippines.

Idea, meet Execution.

To get your idea produced painlessly, here's the road we recommend taking - you won't find a lot of travelers on it, but it makes for a short and more pleasant trip.

1. Define your idea in as few words as possible

Think of it as a very abbreviated elevator pitch. If you had 5 seconds to describe your idea, how would you phrase it? This forces you to think of it in its most basic form, taking out the bells and whistles that are best left to the execution phase. What is it that is most compelling about your idea, and will people pay to use it in their daily activities?

2. Get your app working

"Wait a minute", you say,"you missed the design part!". What we mean is to get your idea transformed into a working app as fast as possible (see our user experience design section of the services page) without fiddling around too much with the details (color combinations, button images, Javascript animations, etc.). By fast, we don't mean haphazard - just get it working properly, then...

3. Iterate: rinse and repeat

This is where the bulk of design and development time goes. Styling the look and feel, honing app performance, paring down or adding features based on feedback, correcting mistakes. Hopefully by this time people can actively test out the app in its basic (albeit improving) form. Watch your idea transform into a better version of itself daily, based on concrete feedback, as opposed to subjective assumptions.
